New officers of Supera Playlot Advisory Council

Hi!  Happy Holidays!

Sheila and I would like to thank all of you for the wonderful experience we’ve had as the officers of the Supera Playlot Advisory Council.  After four years, we’ve decided to step down and let someone else take over.  Jeff and Michelle Kerr have been active participants on our committee and have agreed to take the roles of advisory council president and vice president.  I have given Jeff a summary of what we’ve done to organize our park events (Halloween party, Easter party and summer concert).  He is planning on continuing these traditions, as well as acting as the contact point for the park district on ongoing needs for Supera Park.

Jeff’s email address is:  Please contact him with any questions that come up and let me know if I can help with the transition in any way!

C'mon Buy a Brick be a Part of Chicago History

Hi, Everyone!  Thanks to all who attended our concert on that beautiful summer evening!  It was really a great night.

We initiated our brick drive and there were a few attendees who submitted their form and check while enjoying the music.  We want to broadcast our message about this drive, though, because we are only planning on allowing a short time to collect the money (i.e. the month of September).  So, I attach the form here, in case you want to buy a brick. Please complete it, enclose a check and mail it to me at the address on the form.  We will soon have the form posted to our website, so tell your neighbors and friends to look for it, if they are interested to have a keepsake in their children’s park.

Thanks for all you do!  We’ll see you at our next meeting on September 25th!

Amy and Sheila

PS – Again, download the Supera Playlot Brick Drive Form.

Concert in the Park

We are delighted to advise you that we will be hosting a family friendly concert in the park, Friday August 17th at 6:30 pm.

Phil Angotti and the Idea will take center stage for this fun event and we look forward to seeing all of you!

In addition, the Supera Playlot Advisory Council will be launching our “Buy a Brick” campaign on the night of the 17th. The brick campaign will be a swift process as we have entered the planning stage for the renovation of the park in Spring 08. We hope that all the families that use our park will consider this opportunity to support our renovation, which will memorialize your support of the endeavor! Details will be available on our website after August 17th. (

Spread the word and see you on the 17th.
